Public Comments
The Board and District administrators welcome comments from the public. During tonight’s meeting, members from the audience will have several opportunities in which to address the Board.
The first opportunity is during the Public Comment Period at the beginning of the agenda. This is where members of the public may speak to the Board on items that are not listed on the agenda but are within the Board’s jurisdiction.
The second opportunity is during the “Report” Section - if there is a report listed on the agenda. After each presentation the public may speak to or ask questions about the report.
The third opportunity is during the Consent Calendar. Though the Board takes action on all of the items in one motion, before doing so, the public can comment on any of the items listed under the Consent Calendar.
And finally there is a fourth opportunity which is during the action calendar. Members of the public may speak to or ask questions about any action item after a motion has been made by the Board.
Please note that in order to run an efficient meeting, the Board asks all speakers to limit their comments to three minutes. If a speaker needs an interpreter, they will be given six minutes. As these meetings are recorded, we also ask all speakers to use the podium and microphone and to clearly state their name for the record.
If you need an agenda, copies are available on the table near the entrance.
