Measure O Project Updates
Measure O Background
On November 5, 2024 Measure O was approved by residents within our District boundaries, with 65.76% of voters saying to “Yes on Measure O” to $80,000,000 in bonds and choosing to invest in our schools.
This measure supports all our children. The Merced City School District appreciates this community's long-standing support of students and teachers. Funds provide much needed resources to ensure all students learn in clean and safe classrooms.
All schools will receive funds for their specific needs and Measure O funds cannot be spent on salaries for MCSD employees, administrators, or the school board. By law, there will be public disclosure of all spending, review by an independent citizens oversight committee and all funding will be used locally. Each site has been carefully assessed to identify critical needs and to ensure schools in every neighborhood will have functionally equitable facilities. Measure O will address these critical needs.
