Citizens' Bond Oversight Commitee

The Merced City School District Board of Education formally appoints Committee members to serve two (2) consecutive two-year terms.  The Committee oversees the use of local General Obligation Bond Measure tax funding for modernization projects approved by the Board.  State law provides that a local citizens’ oversight committee oversees all school construction bond expenditures. Committee members serve without compensation and attend four (4) meetings scheduled annually, typically from 4 pm to 5 pm (currently in-person and via Zoom).

Thank you, voters!

Thanks to the support of voters residing within the boundaries of Merced City School District (MCSD) in the November 5, 2024, primary election, the Measure O bond passed! Our previous bond, Measure M, provided funding for over $62 million for completed facility improvement projects at all MCSD school sites. We look forward to sharing how Measure O will also improve our facilities further. In June 2024, the MCSD Board of Education approved the 2024 Long-Range Facilities Master Plan which we will implement in our future projects.
