Nutrition Services
The Nutrition Services Department is committed to providing every student with nutritious meals that support their growth, learning, and academic success. Our carefully selected meals promote healthy eating habits, are prepared to be both nutritious and appealing, and are served by caring professionals in a welcoming environment.
Did you know?
Well-nourished students tend to perform better academically—showing higher test scores, improved concentration, and better behavior in the classroom. Healthy eating habits established early in life can also contribute to long-term well-being and success.
Meals are NO CHARGE to all MCSD students.
A meal application is not needed.
Let us save you time and money by taking care of the cooking! California has become the first state to implement a universal free meals program for all public school students. Free breakfast and lunch are available at all schools, with every meal meeting or exceeding USDA nutritional guidelines. Our meals include fresh fruits and vegetables, wholesome grains, and lean proteins, ensuring your child gets the nourishment they need.
