5th Grade:

Fifth grade students will visit the STEAM Center between September and November, Over the course of two days, students will investigate why there are restrictions on water use in Merced and explore ways to alleviate the problem. Parents/guardians interested in chaperoning should contact the child's teacher.

3rd Grade:

Third grade students will visit the STEAM Center between January and March. Students will explore how traits are influenced by the environment, and how some organisms survive better than others. Parents/guardians interested in chaperoning should contact the child's teacher.

1st Grade:

First grade students will visit the STEAM Center between March and May. Students will learn about light and sound and explore solutions to a communication problem. Following the engineering design process, they will construct and take home a light emitting device and a sound making device.
