Email Signature
In an effort to unify our district brand, please use the district email signature by following the instructions below for your e-mail accounts. You will find the signature file within step 2 of the instructions.
See the sample signature below for viewing purposes.
1. Do not add any additional links, photos, or other objects to your email signature. See the sample signature below as an example.
2. Using a Chrome or Firefox browser, click HERE to open the file. Press CTRL + A to select the entirety of the file, and press CTRL + C to copy the file. Do not use your mouse to select the area as it will not select all elements.
3. Open the Outlook Desktop App.
4. Click on File > Settings
5. Once you are on the Settings page, select Accounts > Signatures > Add Signature
6. Add a signature name, and title it "MCSD Signature." Press CTRL + V to paste the signature file. Make sure to delete the line that says "Powered by Finalsite."
7. Select the boxes that state "Set default for new messages" and "Set default for replies and forwards."

2. Using a Chrome or Firefox browser, click HERE to open the file. Press CTRL + A to select the entirety of the file, and press CTRL + C to copy the file. Do not use your mouse to select the area as it will not select all elements.
3. Open the Outlook Desktop App (Classic Version).
4. Click on File.
5. On the bottom left panel, click "Options."
6. Select "Mail."
7. Select "Signatures."
8. Select "New."
9. Type "MCSD Signature" and press "OK."
10. In the body of the signature, press CTRL + V to paste the signature file. Replace the name, job title, school/department, phone number, and email address with your information. Make sure to delete the line that says "Powered by Finalsite." Select "Save."
11. Select "MCSD Signature" from the drop down menus listed under "Choose default signature." You'll want to select "MCSD Signature" for both new messages and replies/forwards.
12. Select "OK" on both screens to save your signature.

3. Open Gmail on your web browser.
4. On the top right of your window, click the gear icon.
5. Select "See all settings."
6. On the "General" tab, scroll down to the "Signature" heading. Select "Create new" and name the signature "MCSD Signature," selecting "Create" after typing in the name.
7. Press CTRL + V to paste the signature file. Replace the name, job title, school/department, phone number, and email address with your information. Make sure to delete the line that says "Powered by Finalsite."
8. Under "Signature Defaults," select "MCSD Signature" from both dropdowns titled "For new emails use" and "On reply/forward use." Additionally, check the box that states "Insert signature before quoted text in replies and remove the "--" line that precedes it.
9. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select "Save Changes."

2. Using Safari or a Chrome/Firefox browser on your iPhone, click HERE to open the file.
3. Press and hold down on the screen and select ALL objects on the webpage, including the image. Your screen should look like this. Select "Copy."
4. Open the Outlook app on your iPhone. Click the left side button that has your initial on it/"Inbox."
5. Next, select the gear icon at the bottom left of the screen.
6. Select "Signature."
7. Choose the @mcsd.k12.ca.us or @mercedcsd.org inbox and select the blank box underneath the email name. It should start with "Microsoft 365" or "Gmail."
8. Tap the screen once and click "Paste."
9. Next, fill in the brackets/placeholder text with your own information.
10. Once you have done so, select the checkmark to save your work.

2. Using Safari or a Chrome browser on your Android phone, click HERE to open the file.
3. Press and hold down on the screen and select ALL areas of the screen, including the district theme logo. Select "Copy."
4. Open the Outlook App on your Android, and select the circular icon next to the "Inbox" tab.
5. Select the gear icon at the bottom left of the screen.
6. Select "Signature."
7. Make sure to remove the previous signature by using the backspace button. Press and hold the screen and select "Paste," which will paste the contents from the web browser.
8. Next, fill in the brackets/placeholder text with your own information. Click the checkmark to save your work.
